Popping fireworks is illegal within Corpus Christi’s city limits, but that didn’t stop Coastal Bend residents from lighting up the night on New Year’s Eve to usher in 2020.
As beautiful a sight as it may be, popping fireworks in the city limits can come with expensive fines and can also put people in danger. The Corpus Christi Fire Department had to respond to multiple house fires and brush fires on New Year’s Eve, mostly due to fireworks.
